Hello Reader 💕🌸

Spring is definitely my favorite time of year — we are as far from winter as we can get and I am here for every single second of it! I love everything about spring: the smell of dirt ripe for planting, the lush green grass, the return of our hummingbirds, the busy-ness of the birds setting up their nests, the cool mornings, and the longer days.

On the warmer sunny days I set a goal for myself to get my work done early so I can head out to the deck for some fresh air and sunshine. I usually take out my latest crochet project and listen to my current Audible book — right now I'm listening to Project Hail Mary. We took the kids to see the movie last week and I had to dive straight into the book. So good!

All of that outdoor inspiration has me deep in summer makes, and today I'm so excited to share my latest — the Essential Basic Bucket Hat! This simple, all single crochet hat is the foundational bucket hat pattern I've been needing, and it is just perfect for summer. I'm also working on some really fun kids' hat versions that will be arriving on the blog very soon — I am having SO much fun with these and I cannot wait to share them with you!

A complete video tutorial is coming soon for anyone who wants a little extra guidance, but honestly? I think this one will be a breeze even for a beginning crocheter. With six sizes included — Newborn through Adult XL — you can make one for the whole family! And if you need a little extra help to get started my How to Make a Perfect Circle in Single Crochet Tutorial will get you on your way!

Start your Essentials Basic Bucket Hat today!

I hope you love it. Have a wonderful weekend! 💕

Crochet bulky tote bag pattern

Nana's News All the latest (and greatest!) from Nana Hello Reader 💕🌸 Hi everyone! What a wild week of winter weather—our corner of Kansas dodged the worst with just a 6" snowfall and no outages, giving me the perfect excuse to stay in and crochet. Sending prayers, big hugs and warm thoughts to our friends in hard-hit parts of Tennessee still working through power restoration and storm cleanup after that historic ice event. Stay safe out there! To chase away those cold-weather blues, I'm so...
